Victoria Armillotta

My route into opera was somewhat unusual changing overnight from being a pop singer! Ultimately, what drew me to opera was the immediate visceral connection I felt with a Verismo aria. Nowadays this is the repertoire I still have a particular affinity with and hope to share with audiences around the world, among many other roles. Outside of performing, I greatly enjoy teaching singing at Kings College London and I also work privately as an Italian coach.

I was born and raised in Tuscany as a bilingual child so I have always had a fascination with languages. Aside from my native languages, I speak French and Spanish. In my free time I love to draw pencil portraits, write poetry and go for long dog walks in nature.
